Vintage Victorian Style Brown Leather Club Sofa

We are delighted to offer for sale 1 of 2 lovely restored vintage Victorian club sofas This auction is for the second sofa which was made to match the original Victorian one in or around the 1930s, this original sofa looks pretty much identical but there are slight differences which I’ll list below. I have a matching pair of claw and ball feet wingback armchairs listed under my other items The entire seat platform is of course coil sprung, each spring is hand dyed eight ways, hessian padded and supported. The cushions are deep dense foam filled The sofa was fully restored a few years ago, they removed the old upholstery and reupholstered it with the heritage leather hide, it is fully aniline which means it shows the natural patina of the skin The sofas will only look like this for a few weeks, they are due for recoloring which means they will be hand dyed a lovely whisky brown color Dimensions Height 67 cm Width 200 cm Depth 91 cm with the back to the wall to the front panel, 98 cm to the front of the cushion Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
