Vintage Design
A superb solid walnut secretaire bookcase straight from the Aesthetic movement in design. The top section has wonderful strap hinges and every pane of glass has a bevelled edge (which is much more noticeable in the flesh). The base has two lower cupboard doors also with brass strap hinges and carved central panels which correspond with central panels which correspond with the secretaire drawer. It is complete with it’s original tooled leather internally as well as six burr walnut veneered drawers and pen tray along with a pair of reproduction inkwells similar in design to the originals.
The keys are all present with working locks and the whole is in great condition ready to use. The piece splits into two halves.
