Swedish country house dining table in pine. The table is a so called trestle table and an authentic northern Swedish country furniture in folk art. Made completely by hand the table is from the late 1700s. It has a table top in solid pine which rests on a baluster-shaped leg frame. The pine has never been painted and the wood has been left to age naturally which has created a lovely unique light patina after 250 years of use. Time has also enhanced the visual of the natural structure and groves of the wood. The table would be suitable as a dining table for around 6-8 people. There is a small, barely noticeable rim that runs the length of the two longer sides. There has been occasions where the table top has been turned upside down and the household would use the other side to prepare and cook food. Hence there are some traces and marks.
