Vintage 1930’s Hazel Atlas Green Uranium Glass Small Side Plates – 4 Pieces

This set includes 4 smaller sized side plates, made by Hazel Atlas in the 1930’s. Many depression glass collectors love these unique green uranium glass pieces. Uranium vaseline bright lime green coloring which glows neon green under UV lighting. This color was made by putting a tiny amount of uranium into the hot glass, making it radioactive. However it is quite safe, a very small quantity and sealed inside the glass. The plates are round in shape with a stripped “ribbon” pattern around the edges and a very subtle etched grape vine motifs on 3. Measuring at 6 1/4″ in diameter they are very versatile and usable in your kitchen and dining room.
