From the Spring/Summer 1979 collection, the clear version of these Thierry Mugler sunglasses debuted on the season’s runway. These faux tortioise shell sunglasses feature a rectangular lens with a wide arched frame shape. Versions of these well documented sunglasses were also highlighed on Yvonne Sporre in a 1979 editorial in Dépêche Mode, captured by Yvonne Sporre. This style of sunglasses was highlighted in another Dépêche Mode editorical that same year. An identical clear version were also included in an image for the May 1979 Issue of Vogue Paris, modeled by Linda Hutton and captured by Albert Watson.
