moreIt is in Very Good Overall Original Condition and Displays Beautifully. It is Strong – Sound and Perfectly Usable if So Desired. There is a Very Fine Surface Only Hairline with Age Staining to the Front Right But Note that it is Partially Under the Glaze Thus Indicating that it is a Kiln Flaw that Actually Occurred in the Making – Firing Process. It also has 2 Partially Glazed “Iron Ping” Chips These Being a Very Well Known and Common Type of Flaw that Also Occurs in The Kiln Firing Process with This Type of American Stoneware. There is a Chip at the Back Side Base that is Also Partially Glazed Indicating a Kiln Flaw ( These Can Best Be Seen in The Last 2 Photographs ). These Types of Imperfections are Actually Quite Common as Note that These Types of Stoneware Items were Produced in Batches with Multiple Other Pieces at at The Same Time in a Large Size Kilns. Back in the Day These Types of Stoneware Items were a Necessity in Most of Americas Farms and Household’s and They were Made For Everyday – Utilitarian Use. less
