Standing, strictly cubist, three -way piece of furniture.
We see a very quiet, simply mirrored maser image of the light mahogany wood on the front. The base, the edge of the plate and the traverse below the upper drawer are ebonized and are contrasted with the wood. The upper drawer has a wide frame made of brass and dark wood. This design continues on the pages of the piece of furniture.
The two handless and castle -free drawers stand out on the front. All pushing are opened over the castle of the upper drawer, which serves an interesting hidden locking mechanism.
To do this, the key is first put in the castle, i.e. with the beard upwards. If we now turn the key, a bar presses on a push button in the second drawer. This in turn loosens the lock of the lower drawer, which, held by two feathers to tension, now opens automatically.
The same happens with the second drawer when the key is put down and turned down into the castle with the beard.
A very unusual technique, absolutely clever.
In the upper drawer there is a diamond -shaped sticker with inventory number.
There are various shipping and numbering labels on the back wall.
Condition:
Restored and polished with shellac. The mechanism works perfectly.
