Restoration Period Mahogany Flat Desk, Early 19th Century

Elegant Mitered Framed Flat Desk with Mahogany Burl veneer.
The Top features a three-piece Dark Green Leather, decorated with a Gold Pattern in the center, as well as Gold Vignettes and Cold Vignettes around the edge. This Leather is framed by a symmetrical veneer of Mahogany Burl, with a double Moulding border.
On each side, we discover a Tablet designed in the same spirit as the top of the Desk : Green Leather, Vignettes and Mahogany Burr surround.
On the front, there are several drawers underlined by small rods, two independent drawers on the left, a larger one in the center, and a double one on the right. The interior of the latter is composed of a four-compartment coin tray. Removing this compartment reveals a locked cover with a lid: the top slides off when opened, giving way to an interesting storage space.
The Lock Entrances are in Original Bronze and in working condition with the four keys attached.
This Desk rests on four Double Twisted Legs, which taper in width towards the bottom.
The Sides and Back are also made of Mahogany Burr, making it a Perfect Middle Piece of Furniture.
