Vintage Design
Superb monumental Baroque Dutch cabinet called “Kussenkast” of the late seventeenth century, probably around 1670 – 1680. In rosewood, ebony and ebonized wood veneer on oak. Typically of the second half of the 17th century, it was conducted in oak and ebony and rosewood plating. The decoration of the facade, very geometric, is executed in the typical architectural format of the Dutch furniture from the 17th century. Friesland and molded cornice, set with three lion heads, rectangular paneled doors decorated with molded cornices and foliage scroll, half-round pillars with carved capitals, the work of cabinet is incredible. The sides also with rectangular panels with molded cornices. The bottom two drawers with handles ebony original, spherical sitting five feet. This monumental work has been fully restored and re-varnished. Ability to add more shelves weathered if necessary.
